Dining at The Keeper’s Kitchen Inn:
A Shared Table Experience

Evenings at The Keeper’s Kitchen are as much about connection as they are about cuisine — where stories are shared, laughter drifts through the room and each course celebrates the flavours of this wild, coastal place.

The Keeper’s Kitchen isn’t a restaurant in the traditional sense — though we are a fully licensed establishment.

Because of our intimate size (a maximum of 10 guests) and remote location, advance reservations are essential if you’d like to join us for our three-course, gourmet-style evening meal. (Please note: all meals are included for our overnight guests.)

From time to time when space allows, we welcome reservations from the public. Dinner is a set menu — meaning everyone enjoys the same dishes, with thoughtful variations made for guests who have notified us in advance of food allergies or dietary restrictions.

We are open 4 days a week during our 2026 season. Dinner is served Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. for all guests unless otherwise noted. The cost is $74.95 + tax per person (see a sample menu below).

A wine pairing option featuring three premium wines selected to complement the starter, main course, and dessert is available for an additional $55 per person. We also offer a small, but curated, selection of wines, beers, and spirits by the glass or bottle. (As required by our license, private alcohol may only be consumed in guest rooms.)

We do not serve lunch, but a packed lunch can be prepared for house guests with advance notice.

We’ve always believed that food tastes better when it comes with a good story — and maybe a laugh or two.

Between us, we’ve eaten our way across more than 120 countries (purely for research, of course). Somewhere between the street stalls of Bangkok and the trattorias of Italy, we discovered that the best meals aren’t necessarily fancy — they’re the ones made with heart, curiosity and a little bit of daring creativity.

Here at The Keeper’s Kitchen, we love giving familiar Newfoundland dishes a worldly wink — a twist of lemon where you least expect it, a drizzle of something fermented, a touch of Italy meeting the edge of the Atlantic.

We source locally whenever possible — from the gardens, the woods, and the waters around us — because food just tastes better when it comes from the same place the stories do.

So come hungry, stay curious and don’t be surprised if dinner turns into a singalong.

We look forward to welcoming you to our table.

Typical Evening Menu
Several amuse bouches + starter, main & dessert

Amuse Bouche #1: Grilled Peaches with Italian Prosciutto, a drizzle of homemade dandelion honey, topped with toasted pine nuts & fresh basil

Amuse Bouche #2: Crostini with goat cheese, herb-crusted pork tenderloin, sun-dried tomatoes and crispy fried oregano

Starter: Carrot & Ginger Soup
A tantalizing combination of sweet carrots, aromatic ginger and zesty orange garnished with our homemade nut, berry and seed biscotti cracker.

Main: Stuffed Pork Tenderloin

Pork tenderloin stuffed with aged prosciutto, garlic scapes and wild mushrooms soaked in pinot noir. Seasoned with homemade wild sweetgale salt and served with a medley of roasted vegetables and a drizzle of our peanut ginger sauce.

Dessert: Norwegian Krumkake

Newfoundland’s golden treasure (bakeapples) are gently sweetened and folded into whipped cream, then tucked inside a crisp Norwegian krumkake. A delicate, creamy treat that celebrates the flavours of both of our cultures.

Life is too short for flavourless food and bad wine!
