01.Foraging Feast (Wed's & Sat's 11:00am-2:00pm)
Embark on a culinary adventure nestled within the wild landscape of the surrounding 'Barrens' and coastline of St. Shotts. Discover edible treasures as you learn to identify local plants, berries and herbs, along with their medicinal properties. You'll also learn preservation methods, ensuring these vibrant flavours enrich your diet year-round by learning how to incorporate them into modern cuisine.
02.Gut Health Workshop (Thur's & Sun's 9:30-11:30am)
This workshop is more than gut health education—it’s a chance to reset, recharge, and reconnect with your whole self. Through hands-on learning and lots of taste testing, you’ll discover how to create powerful fermented foods and understand why they’re essential for lasting health and vitality. Additionally you'll receive culture starters (valued over $60) to get started on your wellness journey once you get home.
03.Wellness Workshops (when schedule permits)
Michelle is a licensed teacher, certified life coach and CBT practitioner—as well as a singer/songwriter, visual artist, author and speaker. She blends education, coaching and the arts to create transformational workshops and programs that use creativity as a tool for insight, growth and self-discovery. In addition to specific workshops, she is also available for 1-to-1 individual coaching sessions. Each wellness workshop includes a copy of her best selling book, "Stepping Stones".
04.Lighthouse Hike (Tuesdays & Fridays 11am-2pm)
Cape Pine Lighthouse is a National Historical Site. It's also where Michelle spent her younger years because her father was the Lighthouse Keeper there. This hike will take you to Table Rock - the spot where ships would land lighthouse supplies before there were roads. Another short ways along the coastline you will come to Arnold's Cove Beach where you will enjoy your packed lunch.
05.Shipwreck Hike (Wednesdays & Saturdays 11am-2pm)
Your host Reidar is a an avid hiker and a great guide who will lead you to a shipwreck site to see remnants of The Crewe - a ship that grounded in 1901. The terrain is light and you'll reach the site in approximately 20-25 minutes. Along the way, Reidar will describe the way of life in this area and the effect shipwrecks had on the people who lived here. From there you will hike a little further along the coastline to Square Rock where you will enjoy a coastline lunch.
